Mehmet hesite a faire quand meme

L’interdit
americain est-il inspire par ces faits ? En attendant d’avoir peut-etre
une reponse un jour,

Lettre Du Pere Sako : Un Lent Genocide

LETTRE DU PERE SAKO : UN LENT GENOCIDE

Irak

13/08/2014

N° 127

L’Armenie Vient En Aide Aux Yezidis En Irak

L’ARMENIE VIENT EN AIDE AUX YEZIDIS EN IRAK

Aide humanitaire

ZHOGHOVURD: RETALIATION BY DEFENSE ARMY FORCED ENEMY TO RELIEVING BORDER TENSIONS – NKR PREMIER

09:42 * 14.08.14

In an interview with the newspaper Prime Minister of Nagorno-Karabakh
Ara Harutyunyan said that the situation on the border is very calm.

“As if no skirmishes took place,” he said.

Asked if the Armenian-Azerbaijani-Russian presidential meeting in
Sochi has produced any results, Mr Harutyunyan:

“Not only the trilateral meeting in Sochi. Yes, it did produce
results. But it was also the retaliation by our Defense Army that
forced the enemy into relieving the border tensions. The two factors
played their roles.”

Any War Will Destroy Azerbaijan’S Ruling Regime – Artak Zakaryan

ANY WAR WILL DESTROY AZERBAIJAN’S RULING REGIME – ARTAK ZAKARYAN

12:33 * 13.08.14

Azerbaijan’s ruling regime led by President Ilham Aliyev misperceives
all the global values, Chairman of the Standing Committee on Foreign
Relations, Parliament of Armenia, Artak Zakaryan wrote on his
Facebook page.

“All the nations consider the people fighting for their freedom and
independence, defending their homeland from the enemy to be heroes,
while Azerbaijan considers such people criminals. The entire world
calls a person killing a sleeping man with an axe a criminal, while
Azerbaijan calls such a person a national hero. The conclusion is
that a nomad cannot understand what the Homeland and hero is.

“The leader of our state clearly stated that any threat to Armenia
and Artsakh [Nagorno-Karabakh] will receive an adequate response. And
Azerbaijan’s propaganda machinery began assuring their people they
should not feel afraid because they have even more powerful weapons.

“Some trigger-happy politicians in Azerbaijan appear to have
short memory. Using grenade launchers Karabakh warriors could down
Azerbaijani war planes and capture Azerbaijani tanks after a couple
of battles. So there is no guarantee that present-day arsenal of
Azerbaijan, together with the Armenian arsenal, will not cause damage
to Azerbaijan’s strategic facilities. So the bloody Aliyev clan had
better think of cooperating with the Armenian side in establishing
long-lasting peace.

“The Armenian people have seen many wars throughout its history,
fighting for existence. The only way for Azerbaijan to continue
existing is peace because any war will destroy official Baku.”

Serzh Sargsyan Acquitted Aliyev

SERZH SARGSYAN ACQUITTED ALIYEV

Hakob Badalyan, Political Commentator
Comments – 13 August 2014, 00:22

Serzh Sargsyan visiting Sochi to meet with Azerbaijan’s Ilham Aliyev
under Putin’s aegis watched an international sambo tournament with
Putin. Not alone but with Aliyev of Azerbaijan. Putin had invited
Sargsyan and Aliyev to watch sambo.

We should pay homage to the imagination of the Russian president
to take them to watch sambo fighting ahead of their meeting
amid the escalation and increased number of casualties at the
Armenian-Azerbaijani line of contact.

What does Putin’s “fable” teach? It is symbolic that amid
Armenian-Azerbaijani escalation, in almost a pre-war situation,
Putin organizes a meeting and takes Sargsyan to watch sambo
fighting, as if hinting that he has organized the Sargsyan-Aliyev or
Armenian-Azerbaijani battle.

Putin is resolving his problems, of course, and if need be, he will
not hesitate to organize an Armenian-Azerbaijani war.

This is the problem that Serzh Sargsyan resolved by watching Sambo
with Aliyev. There is no need to guess or assume. The point is that
watching sambo in the same raw with Aliyev having only Putin between
them is evidence of surrender in Sochi, acquittal of Aliyev of murder
as on the eve of the meeting in Sochi Azerbaijan, i.e. Aliyev killed a
peaceful citizen of Armenia, Karen Petrosyan captured by Azerbaijanis.

Perhaps there is no need to comment on the fact that after the murder
of the citizen of Armenia Karen Petrosyan Serzh Sargsyan relaxed and
watched sambo fight with Aliyev in the same hall, even if we assume
that it was for the appearance and destiny-making issues are discussed
in Sochi.

So what can be more important than the murder of a captured peaceful
citizen with scenes of humiliation and mockery. Serzh Sargsyan
should have refused to meet with Aliyev altogether, let alone watch
sambo with him, at least demanding that he apologize and commit to an
international investigation about which the Armenian MFA had demanded
on the eve. A state policy requires consistency and today we cannot
make tough assessments and demand an international investigation
and watch sambo with the president of Azerbaijan on the next day onl
because Putin has asked so.

It is possible that he did not ask but demanded. It is more probable
and typical of the Armenian-Russian relationship. In other words,
Serzh Sargsyan has actually surrendered on Putin’s demand, once again
giving up Karen Petrosyan’s right to live.

In theory, one should not rule out that Putin could have promised
something before the Sargsyan-Aliyev meeting, promising to force
Aliyev to make concessions if Serzh Sargsyan agrees to watch Sambo
with Aliyev and refrain from putting forth conditions. And this is
trade on the blood of a peaceful Armenian citizen. There is nothing
more dangerous for the state and any head of state than a state policy
implemented at this price.

Caviar Diplomacy Vs. Dedication

CAVIAR DIPLOMACY VS. DEDICATION

Editorial, 5 August 2014

Dollars to donuts Tennessee State Representative Joe Towns couldn’t
find Azerbaijan on the map let alone know about the Armenia/Azerbaijan
conflict a few months ago when he introduced a resolution in the
Tennessee Legislature calling for national support for Baby Aliyev’s
kleptocracy. The Southern politico might have been successful had it
not been for one Armenian who suspected Azerbaijan was pulling the
strings behind the scene.

Beardj Barsoumian’s instincts were on the money. However, when he
asked Towns whether the Azeris were behind the initiative, Towns
denied it. Enter Phil Williams of “NewsChannel 5 Investigates”. The
reporter, who had exposed an Azeri/Turkish junket for 12 Tennessee
politicians last year, also smelled a rat. Following the money trail,
he found that two weeks before Towns introduced his resolution he
had received a $10,000 campaign contribution from Texas. Williams
also learned that the windfall had come from half-a-dozen Azeris and
Turks of the Turkish-Azeri Cultural Centre in Houston. Williams found
it interesting that the $10,000 check had been issued from a low-rent
apartment in Houston. He also discovered that $13,000 had been sent
to candidates across the US from the same building located in one of
the city’s roughest neighborhoods.

Towns said his resolution and the contribution was “coincidental.”

Because of the scandal the resolution never even got a vote. A
collateral benefit: many Americans became aware of the Azeri campaign
to corrupt politicians.

The Tennessee scandal wasn’t unique or even rare. Several months
earlier, the Azeris, led by Ambassador Elin Suleymanov had tried
a similar ploy in Hawaii. Two state politicians, who had gone to
an all-expense trip to Azerbaijan, had introduced a resolution
which portrayed the Khojalu battle as “genocide”. As in Tennessee,
the corrupt duo, who had been seduced by Baku’s caviar diplomacy,
bit the dust, thanks mainly to the efforts of four Armenians: Elen
Asatryan; Arpine Philian Mar; Arthur and Ani Martirosian. The latter
delivered an eloquent speech which convinced many Hawaiians and that
the Azeri initiative smelled high… like stale caviar. The resolution
was rejected.

As in Tennessee, the Hawaii Armenians had the solid backing of the
Armenian National Committee of America (ANCA). The Washington-based
organization sent alerts to its members, encouraged them to send
letters and to petition Hawaiian politicians about the devious Azeri
campaign. In the days leading up to the committee hearings, Armenians
submitted hundreds of letters.

The same scenario has played out in a number of states. In most
cases local Armenians and the ANCA have managed to defeat the Azeri
campaigns.

Why have the Azeris picked Hawaii, Tennessee, Georgia, and Wyoming to
advance their nefarious cause? Because few Armenians live in these
states: objection would be minimal, if non-existent, especially if
the wheels of politics are lubricated with oil-soaked cash.

Why is Baku spending millions on public relations in the US and in
Europe? It’s not that the Azeri ambassador is reading Dale Carnegie’s
“How to Make Friends and Influence People” bestseller of yore. In
fact, the project’s target is the oppressed Azeri masses that are
being denied their share of the oil-soaked easy money. Baby Aliev
wants to show to his unhappy subjects that he is popular in the West
and that he is fighting the Armenians.

Aram Hamparian, executive director of the ANCA and a veteran of the
Azeri/Armenian duel, says that when Azeris began their anti-Armenian
campaign in the late ’80s, they were clumsy and confused. But since
Aliev consolidated his regime, they’ve become “sophisticated and
aggressive.” The Azeri campaign has become more professional due to the
input of Washington PR companies. The latter charge the Azeri embassy
$50,000 per month plus expenses to provide strategic counsel on “how
to strengthen Azeri ties with the US government and institutions.” In
addition to the Azeri ambassador, parallel Azeri campaigns are
conducted by the Azeri state oil company (SOCAR) and American companies
with investments in Azerbaijan. They get support also from Ankara,
Gulen’s Hizmet movement, and Turkish-American groups. Although it’s
commonly believed that Azerbaijan spends about $2 million a year in
the U.S. to burnish its soiled profile and paint Armenians black,
Hamparian believes the actual figure could be as high as $10 million.

Financially, the battle is asymmetrical. ANCA certainly doesn’t have
anything close to the petrodollar-infused budget of the Azeris.

Hamparian and his organization engage the Azeris through a deft
utilization of funds, through technology, and through a strong network
of activists and grassroots supporters.

To combat the Azeri campaign, “we had to develop ‘radar,'” says
Hamparian. “As soon as legislation is introduced anywhere in the
US, we get to know about it through a tracking system. We alert and
mobilize our activists and the community in general.”

These Azeri legislative initiatives aren’t the only arenas where
the Azeri lobby and the ANCA battle. The latter was instrumental
in blocking Turcophile Matthew Byrza’s appointment US ambassador
to Azerbaijan. As a result of the Armenian organization’s targeted
campaign, the White House declined to even mention the Khojaly battle
in its public response, although the Azeri lobby had managed to
accrue the requisite 100,000- signature on-line petition to trigger
a reply from the US administration. In the past year, thanks to such
muscular efforts five states have recognized the independence of the
Republic of Artsakh. The ANCA also organizes Capitol Hill programs
celebrating the independence of Artsakh which feature influential
politicians such as Congressman Ed Royce.

Hamparian says ANCA’s job has become more difficult because of the
Crimean crisis. Azerbaijan is now promoting itself as a strategic
partner to the West and an alternative source to Russian gas. “Baku
claims its Southern Gas Corridor can rival Russia’s Nord Stream,”
says the executive director of the ANCA.

Boy Scouts may believe that truth wins at the end, but politics doesn’t
operate on that premise. Many politicians are purchasable commodities;
the justness of the Armenian Cause is of little consequence in the
political/diplomatic esplanade. Campaign contributions, all-expense
paid junkets, front-row seats to sports matches… are the sure way
to the hearts of many pols. The other is public pressure.

It’s obvious that Azeri influence in Washington is posed to grow.

Hamparian knows that a battle royal is looming between his organization
and the Turkbeijan lobby. Armenians who believe the battle being waged
between Armenians and the 90-million Turkbeijan twins is important
should support our lobbyists. We can’t afford to be armchair Armenians,
and merely celebrate the victories won on our behalf by a small band
of dedicated American-Armenians. We should learn from Barsoumian,
Asatryan, Philian Mar, and the Martirosians. We should contribute
financially to Hye Tadd and when the call comes for letter writing,
petitions or any other type of pro-Armenian drive we should respond
promptly. The cause we help is our own.

Putin Showcased Russia’s Undisputable Role In Maintaining Status-Quo

PUTIN SHOWCASED RUSSIA’S UNDISPUTABLE ROLE IN MAINTAINING STATUS-QUO IN KARABAKH – EXPERT

YEREVAN, August 13. /ARKA/. Russia’s president Vladimir Putin
demonstrated Russia’s unquestionable role in maintaining peace along
the line of contact between Armenian and Azerbaijani troops at the
trilateral meeting in Sochi, political analyst Sergey Shakaryants
told reporters Tuesday.

Russia’s statements saying it will support a mechanism to investigate
deadly incidents at the border mean Azerbaijan will be unmasked if
it continues provoking and initiating truce violations at the border,
Shakaryants said.

In the period from end of July to the beginning of August Azerbaijan
intensified largely its military efforts along the line of contact
with Nagorno-Karabakh Republic (NKR). Over 25 Azerbaijani and six
Karabakh servicemen were killed in the latest raid operations and
attempts by Azerbaijani troops to attack Karabakh’s positions.

According to the analyst, both co-chair countries and other
member-countries of OSCE Minsk Group may start looking into these
cases.

Shakaryants also said Putin managed to draw a statement about
commitment to peaceful settlement from Aliev, which points to Russia’s
peacekeeping role.

The trilateral meeting of the presidents of Armenia, Russia and
Azerbaijan Serzh Sargsyan, Vladimir Putin and Ilham Aliev was held
in Sochi on August 10.

The Karabakh conflict started in 1988 when prevailingly Armenian
population of Nagorno-Karabakh declared withdrawal from Azerbaijan. On
December 10, 1991, a referendum was held in Nagorno-Karabakh where
99.89% voted for independence from Azerbaijan.

Azerbaijan responded by large-scale military operations that led
to loss of control not only over Nagorno-Karabakh itself, but also
over seven adjoining areas. About 25-30 thousand people were killed
and about a million had to leave their homes during the military
operations.

A trilateral cease-fire agreement was signed on May 12, 2004, and
has been followed since then.

The ongoing Karabakh peace process started in 1992 under auspices of
OSCE Minsk Group co-chaired by the USA, Russia and France. -0–

3 Armenians Killed As Rebels Throw Gas Bottles At Aleppo District

3 ARMENIANS KILLED AS REBELS THROW GAS BOTTLES AT ALEPPO DISTRICT

August 12, 2014 – 12:08 AMT

PanARMENIAN.Net – Gas bottles thrown by rebels late last week at the
Nor Gyugh district in the Syrian northern city of Aleppo killed 3
ethnic Armenians and damaged the buildings.

According to Kantsasar newspaper’s Facebook post, those killed were
identified as Malkon Palian, his brother Zhirair Palian and Harutyun
Sargisian.

In June, the European Armenian Federation for Justice and Democracy
(ANC Europe) published an open letter, along with a letter addressed
to the European Union’s foreign affairs representative, urging for
action to be taken to stop the wholesale destruction taking place in
the Armenian neighborhood of Nor Gyugh in Aleppo.

Earlier, the Armenian National Committee of America (ANCA) launched a
#Save Aleppo campaign calling President Obama to stop anti-Armenian
attacks in Syria. The campaign aims to urge President Obama to stop
the rebel bombing of innocent Christians and all civilians in Aleppo,
press Turkey to allow the free flow of Euphrates waters to Syria,
answer the ANCA’s concerns regarding Turkey’s role in the forced
depopulation of the historically Armenian populated city of Kessab.
