Vahagn Khachaturyan, former mayor of Yerevan, sworn in as new president of Armenia

The former mayor of the Armenian capital of Yerevan has been sworn in as the country’s new president. The inauguration of Vahagn Khachaturyan as Armenia’s fifth president was held Sunday. He was elected president by parliament on March 3. Khachaturyan will serve for a term of seven years.
