Armenia was ranked 116th in the 2020 World Happiness Report by the UN.

This report is a research of the state of global happiness that assesses how happy the citizens of 156 countries are.

The 2020 report assessed the social, urban, and environmental impacts on happiness.

The report was released Friday, March 20, the International Day of Happiness.

Countries are rated in accordance with their citizens’ income, freedom, confidence, life expectancy, and social security.

Accordingly, the happiest country, as last year, was Finland.

“I should like to see any power of the world destroy this race, this small tribe of unimportant people, whose wars have all been fought and lost, whose structures have crumbled, literature is unread, music is unheard, and prayers are no more answered. Go ahead, destroy Armenia . See if you can do it. Send them into the desert without bread or water. Burn their homes and churches. Then see if they will not laugh, sing and pray again. For when two of them meet anywhere in the world, see if they will not create a New Armenia.” - WS
