The investigative commission investigating the circumstances of the April war invited a conscript soldier who participated in the 2016 operations to a closed session, who provided the commission members with very important information.

The chairman of the commission said this in a briefing with journalists after the closed session of the commission Andranik Kocharyan:

“Today we received very important information from the invited person. It is about the situation on the front line. He was a person who increased our knowledge about the April events, a person who had direct participation in the front line,” said Kocharyan.

He did not give other details about the invited person, he only mentioned that he is one of the soldiers who created the hero painting of the front line. Kocharyan gave a positive answer to the question whether he was a conscript soldier during that time. According to Kocharyan, during the work, they studied what the realities were on the front line.

Referring to the persons already invited and to be invited to the closed sessions of the commission, he noted that they have an approved list of invitees, which has not decreased, on the contrary, it has increased. According to Kocharyan, high-ranking officials of that time were invited to the meetings of this commission, but he did not publish their names.

The commission worked actively in the summer as well, working with a large number of materials and people. Kocharyan assured that the commission is becoming more professional day by day.
