On September 13, Deputy Prime Minister Tigran Avinyan received the delegation led by Deputy Prime Minister of Kazakhstan Berdibek Saparbaev. Welcoming the guest, Tigran Avinyan noted that Kazakhstan is an important partner for Armenia, with which we have historical and friendly relations. He added that official meetings at a high level give new impulses to bilateral interaction.


As reported by the press service of the government, Berdibek Saparbayev thanked for the reception and said that Armenian-Kazakh relations are developing well and noted that this year marks the 20th anniversary of the friendship and cooperation agreement between Kazakhstan and Armenia.


The interlocutors agreed that the volume of trade turnover of the two countries does not correspond to the existing potential and agreed to look for new ways to activate trade and economic cooperation. The Deputy Prime Minister of Kazakhstan emphasized that they attach great importance to the development of education. He said that they are interested in the Tumo innovative educational program and intend to create a Tumo center in Nur-Sultan, the capital of Kazakhstan.


Berdibek Saparbaev also emphasized the study of Armenia’s experience in the field of digitization. In this regard, Tigran Avinyan emphasized the participation of the Kazakh side in the World Conference on Information Technologies to be held in Yerevan, which will be a good opportunity to pave the way for cooperation in the field.
