Today, Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan received David O’Brien, Chief Commercial Officer of the Irish RyanAir airline, and Kate Sherry, Head of Destination Development. This was reported by the press service of the government.


The Prime Minister noted that the Armenian government has declared tourism a priority, the sector has great potential for development, and in this context, the development of civil aviation is one of the important steps. According to Nikol Pashinyan, the executive attaches importance to the involvement of leading companies representing this field in the RA aviation market, and the meeting with the representatives of “RyanAir” is a good opportunity to discuss cooperation opportunities.


The chief commercial director of “RyanAir” noted that the company intends to enter the Armenian aviation market in the near future, and discussions are currently underway with the Civil Aviation Committee, “Zvartnots” airport. He presented the vision of carrying out activities in our country, talking about flights from Armenia to new destinations, tariff policy and other issues.


Prime Minister Pashinyan, welcoming the intention of the airline to enter Armenia, expressed the readiness of the government to support this process as much as possible. The head of the government proposed to continue joint work on a concrete option of mutually beneficial cooperation.
