In connection with the events of March 1, 2008, led by Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan, a march was held today in the capital city of Yerevan.
The procession, in which the Prime Minister’s wife Anna Hakobyan and her daughters also participated, started from Yerevan’s Freedom Square, passed along Mashtots Avenue, Grigor Lusavorich Street and ended at the statue of Myasnikyan.
Prime Minister Pashinyan laid flowers and paid tribute to the memory of all the victims.
Earlier, Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan in his address on March 1 referred to the significance of the march, stating: “With this march, we will pay our respects to the victims of March 1, all political murders, and we will say our decisive no to violence, injustice, illegality, corruption, election fraud, and violation of rights.”
