In the Investigative Department of the National Security Service under the Government of the Republic of Armenia. According to Article 235, Part 2 of the Law, a criminal case was initiated on July 26 in “Zvartnots” International Airport with large weapons and ammunition.
As reported by Shamshyan.com, the anti-smuggling department of the State Revenue Committee received postal parcels from an unknown person, which were sent in the name of Aram and Armen Hovhannisyan, residents of Ajapnyak administrative district of Yerevan.
After the parcel arrived in Armenia, the customs officers, upon examining it, found “SIG SAUER p299” and “AHU 16184” number 40 SW /10x22mm/ t/c assault rifles, “TANFOGLIO WITNESS” type 9mm /9x19mm/ t/c assault rifles, “GSG-5” “A 288504” No. 22L.R. 5.66mm rifled self-loading carbine with 34 factory-produced 22 L.R. Ammunition bullets suitable for firing from 5.6 mm t/h rifled weapons.
