Italian President Sergio Mattarella will arrive in Armenia on a state visit

At the invitation of President Armen Sargsyan, Italian President Sergio Mattarella and his daughter Laura Mattarella will arrive in Armenia on a two-day state visit on July 30.

The delegation headed by President Mattarella includes Italian Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation Enzo Moavero Milanesi and other officials.

On the same day, the official reception of the President of Italy will take place at the residence of the President of the Republic, followed by the private conversation of Presidents Armen Sarkissian and Sergio Mattarella, and then the meeting with the participation of the delegations of the two countries. Presidents Sargsyan and Mattarela will make a statement to the press.

As part of the state visit, the President of Italy will have meetings with the country’s top leadership, and will host His Holiness Karekin II, Catholicos of All Armenians.

The delegation led by Sergio Mattarella will visit the Great Genocide memorial complex, will lay a wreath at the monument commemorating the Armenian Genocide victims. The opening ceremony of the Armenian-Italian cultural heritage preservation center will be held in the presence of the presidents of Armenia and Italy.
