YEREVAN. – Azerbaijani press is flooded with the news that world and Russia champion, Armenian gymnast Sergei Azarian, also is competing for Russia at the 26th European Gymnastics Championships which are held in the Azerbaijani capital city of Baku, according to Past (Fact) newspaper of Armenia.
“The Turks [i.e. the Azerbaijanis] cannot obstruct the Armenian’s participation, since he is representing Russia, but they constantly remind about his national belonging,” wrote Past.
