Only 2 days have passed since the mid-term elections in the United States, in which the Democrats won a convincing victory, taking the majority in both the Congress and the Senate. In some constituencies, the counting of votes is still going on, but if you think that the Democrats “weakened their backs” and are enjoying themselves, you are wrong.

First, Democrats have already begun fundraising and campaigning for the 2028 election.
Second, they say. “Today’s defeat of the Republicans does not mean that we will win in 2028. Winning in 2028 depends on the steps we will take in 2027.”

Before we talk about the next steps of the Democrats, a little background. they understand very well that in recent decades they have taken out a terrible taste as an elite. They clearly realize that most Americans are equally disgusted with themselves, Republicans, and the elites in general. (Populist Trump’s victory was also a direct expression of those “we hate everyone” sentiments).

What is the answer of the Democrats?

Ram Emanuel, one of the main strategists of the Democrats, claims that the first and main 3 tasks of the Democrats in the new Congress and the Senate should be:

a) the adoption of a new code of ethics, which will sharply limit the corruption opportunities of politicians and public officials (for example, buying and selling of shares), which in turn will help to some extent restore trust in political elites and, in particular, in Demkus;

b) raising the minimum wage;

c) to restore the stable policy of import duties (now Trump sleeps and wakes up, decides to change the tariff, as a result of which there is terrible inflation in the USA).

The logic of his proposal is as follows. taking into account the public sentiments, firstly, many Republicans will simply have to join these proposals in order not to lose the support of their voters. Whoever did not join will be perceived as “Talanchi”.

If Trump refuses to sign the laws passed by the Congress and the Senate, it will create a big problem for the Republicans in the next presidential elections (“Talanchi” theme will work again). And if he signs it, it will be a crushing victory for the Democrats.

In addition, the Democrats give a clear message to the Republican senators and congressmen. “We warned you that by supporting Trump, you are risking your own political future. Did you see that we were right?’ And among influential Republicans there is really serious dissatisfaction with Trump.

Why am I telling you all this… Just 1.5-2 years ago, the US Democrats were in a miserable and deplorable state. It seemed like it would take years for them to come to their senses, if at all.

But no, let’s get down to business… They worked both on the ground and in the media, political, legal fields and in general in all possible places.

I’ve been watching closely what and how Democrats are talking, from politicians to bloggers. no one said. “What kind of bad people have fallen to us” or “it’s getting to you, is it good that you chose Nikoli”…

In their speeches and interviews, people addressed everyone, talked about everyone’s problems, regardless of their political beliefs. There were Democratic figures who, in a 5-minute speech, were able to convincingly touch the tender heartstrings of both liberals and conservatives, turning any move by Trump’s supporters against him.

Naturally, it was not just words… Along with the words, there was a well-organized mass resistance on the ground. Yes, many activists were arrested in these 1.5 years, tens of thousands of cases were filed, but the resistance continued.
