Simultaneous searches are being carried out at 65 addresses as part of criminal proceedings being investigated by the Armenian Investigative Committee’s Main Department for the Investigation of Economic Crimes and Smuggling.

The Investigative Committee reported this in response to media reports of searches at the homes of Samvel Karapetyan, leader of the Strong Armenia party, and Narek Karapetyan, head of the Strong Armenia parliamentary group.

Media outlets report that Investigative Committee investigators have been searching the homes of Samvel Karapetyan, leader of the Strong Armenia party, and Narek Karapetyan, head of the Strong Armenia parliamentary group, since early morning. Searches are also taking place at other addresses linked to the Karapetyan family.
