CAIA Celebrates 40th Anniversary with Parliamentary Reception

On 29th October 2026, the CAIA marked its 40th anniversary with a memorable reception held at the House of Commons, Parliament, kindly hosted by Rupa Huq, MP for Ealing Central and Acton.

The special event brought together 70 guests, including past and current CAIA members, volunteers, staff, Trustees, funders, and collaborating organisations. Among the notable attendees were Bassam Mahfooz, London Assembly Member for Ealing & Hillingdon, and Ruth Cadbury, MP for Brentford & Isleworth.

A larger wider community anniversary celebration is scheduled to take place at Hayashen in early 2027—further details will follow soon!

Celebrating 40 years of impact

The CAIA is grateful to AdviceUK for the following member spotlight video.

Volunteering with CAIA offers you a positive way to contribute to the lives of people within the Armenian community. There is a wide range of volunteering opportunities with CAIA including administration, research, social media, cataloguing and book restoration at our library, Armenian Community Pre-school Group, Armenian Youth Club, Elders Lunch Club, Digital Inclusion Project, events, and more.

Apart from helping us to help others, voluntary work can have many advantages such as making new friends, learning new skills, and a real sense of making an immediate contribution to the Armenian community.

In return, we provide out-of-pocket travel costs, lunch if volunteering over 4 hours, and references.

For more information about volunteering opportunities at CAIA please send CV at info@caia.org.uk
