What does a queer Armenian love story look like?
Facilitated by best-selling author Taleen Voskuni, this workshop invites queer Armenians to explore the many forms love can take through a series of guided writing prompts. Participants will have the opportunity to share their work in a supportive, welcoming space, discovering the threads that connect our stories while honoring the experiences that make each one unique.
Whether your story is joyful, complicated, or unfinished, this workshop is an invitation to write it down, speak it aloud, and celebrate the richness of queer Armenian love. Stick around afterwards for an optional social half-hour — a chance to keep talking, connect, and celebrate together.
This workshop, brought to you by IALA’s Queer Literature Committee and cosponsored by Pink Armenia and GALAS LGBTQ+ Armenian Society, welcomes all queer Armenians – whether or not you identify as a writer.
The 90 minute workshop will take place Sunday, November 8, at 9 a.m. P.S.T.. There will be an optional half-hour hangout afterwards.
The materials needed are Zoom connection, comfortable seating, willingness to write. That’s pretty much it.
Registration is free. Sign up here.
