“Strong Armenia” party issued a statement.

“The provocative style of government of Nikol Pashinyan reached the hall of the National Assembly.

When the government does not have an answer to the most important questions raised by the opposition, it resorts to provocations. Even today, the CP members could not give a substantive answer to the key question: why is TRIPP launched before the signing of the Peace Treaty, and what guarantees does Armenia have that another unilateral concession will not lead to new demands from Azerbaijan? Instead, they tried to turn the political debate into personal insults and confrontation.

This is not a random incident. When the government in Armenia tries to silence the opposition with provocations, and makes unilateral concessions in relations with Azerbaijan, the question arises, whose interests are actually served by this way of working.

We urge Nikol Pashinyan and his CP team to stop political provocations and answer substantive questions, at the same time we reaffirm that all provocations will receive an adequate response. “Strong Armenia” will not allow personal insults and organized provocations to distract the public’s attention from the fundamental issues related to Armenia’s security and sovereignty.
