Once again, it seemed that Nikol Pashinyan should have at least publicly condemned the fight in the National Assembly provoked by CP MP Taron Chakhoyan, at least with calls for peace or shame to the parties. But no. This is how he reacted to the incident in his Facebook post.
“I knew at least they were physically strong. Actually, no.”
Under this post, NA Speaker Ruben Rubinyan, who did not announce a break and let opposition and government MPs beat each other, wrote the following comment:
“I am also very disappointed.”
NA Vice President Vahagn Aleksanyan, who threw a chair at the opposition, added:
“A complete disappointment.”
Taron Chakhoyan himself wrote under this post:
“I’m kind of saddened, they run away even after starting a fight ))”.
All this comes to confirm the claim of the opposition MPs that the provocation was pre-planned with the knowledge of Nikol Pashinyan. The government definitely has problems from which attention should be diverted.
