A delegation led by Ignazio Cassis, Vice President of the Swiss Federal Council, Head of the Federal Department of Foreign Affairs and OSCE Chairperson-in-Office, visited the Armenian Genocide Memorial during an official visit to Armenia.

The Armenian Genocide Museum-Institute announced the visit in a statement on its Facebook page.

The delegation was accompanied by Armenian Deputy Minister of Education, Science, Culture and Sport Kristina Tataryan, Armenian Ambassador to Switzerland Hasmik Tolmajyan and Swiss Ambassador to Armenia Andrea Barbara Baumann.

“The delegation was welcomed and accompanied during the visit by Hrachya Tashchyan, Acting Director of the Armenian Genocide Museum-Institute. He presented the history of the memorial’s construction, its architectural features and its significance,” the statement said.
