On October 12, the head of the RA NA “Strong Armenia” faction Narek Karapetyan, faction secretary Tigran Abrahamyan and faction member Harutyun Harutyunyan met with the head of the European Union delegation, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Vasilis Maragos. 

Welcoming the ambassador, Narek Karapetyan emphasized that the strategy of the “Strong Armenia” party is aimed at deeper integration with the European Union and the implementation of European standards and institutions in Armenia. 

Narek Karapetyan noted that they aim to come up with a legislative initiative related to the healthcare sector. According to him, it will contribute to the development of Armenia’s healthcare system and deepen the connection of local structures with European ones. The head of the group stated that they are looking for new ideas for institutional cooperation and are convinced that European integration is primarily the integration of institutions and standards. 

Expressing gratitude for the reception, the ambassador noted that it is quite an interesting period in EU-Armenia relations. He referred to agenda programs, infrastructure projects, EU-Armenia cooperation, as well as the regulation of relations in the region, establishment of peace. 

The parties, among other issues, referred to issues related to the development and support of the economy.
