Armenia has already faced the risk of becoming another Ukraine when the CSTO failed to fulfill its allied obligations toward the country, Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan said during a briefing.
Dmitry Medvedev had previously spoken about the possibility of such a risk.
Pashinyan remarked: “Someone else could say, ‘We don’t want Armenia to turn into a new Russia,’” referring to explosions occurring in various parts of the Russian Federation. “It’s not a good precedent.”
“Armenia will become a more sovereign state; it will not turn into anything else,” he said.
Pashinyan added that there would be contacts with the presidents of both the Russian Federation and Azerbaijan.
