Members of Armenia’s artistic gymnastics team have won gold and silver medals at the 2026 FIG Artistic Gymnastics World Challenge Cup in Paris.

The Gymnastics Federation of Armenia said Hamlet Manukyan won the gold medal in the pommel horse event, while Artur Avetisyan won the silver medal in the rings event.

18 year old Manukyan scored 15.200 (5.900 difficulty, 9.300 execution) to take gold, finishing ahead of Italy’s Gabriele Targhetta (silver, 15.000) and America’s Brandon Dang (bronze, 14.700). He also notably debuted a new skill during the competition officially named the “Manukyan” in the FIG Code of Points.

Avetisyan scored 14.533 to earn the silver medal on the still rings, finishing closely behind gold medalist Ilia Zaika.
