In response to a written request from Armenian News-NEWS.am, the Investigative Committee of Armenia reported that 3,833 people had died from the Armenian side as a result of the 44-day war of 2020, of whom 3,755 were servicepersons and 78 were civilians.

Also, the whereabouts of 191 people are unknown, of whom 172 are servicepersons and 19 are civilians.

The Investigative Committee, however, declined to provide a list of the names of the missing persons and casualties, their dates of birth, as well as the number of bodies undergoing DNA analysis and the number of identified bodies, noting that in accordance with the Criminal Procedure Code and the Law on Freedom of Information of Armenia, the provision of other information related to the content of the questions is denied.
