In the seventh round of the 46th Chess Olympiad, the Armenian men’s team drew 2-2 with the United States.

Levon Aronian did not play against Armenia in this round.

Robert Hovhannisyan (rating: 2642), playing with the black pieces, defeated Wesley So (rating: 2774).

Hayk Martirosyan (rating: 2664) drew with Fabiano Caruana (rating: 2789), while Shant Sargsyan (rating: 2630) drew with Hans Moke Niemann (rating: 2725).

After seven rounds, the Armenian men’s team has 12 team points out of a possible 14, with two points awarded for a win, one for a draw and none for a defeat.
