Pashinyan appoints new Deputy Health Minister

Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan has appointed Shahane Mnatsakanyan as Deputy Minister of Health, his office reported Monday.

Mnatsakanyan, 37, holds a bachelor’s degree in Medicine and a master’s degree in Public Health from Yerevan State Medical University. She also holds a Master’s degree in Public Health from the American University of Armenia and completed a postgraduate certificate in Safety, Quality, Informatics and Leadership at Harvard Medical School.

She pursued high-school education in the United States through the FLEX exchange program.

Her professional experience includes serving as a national laboratory consultant for the World Health Organization and holding senior management positions at Wigmore Clinic, including deputy director and acting chief executive officer.

Most recently, in 2026, she served as an advisor to the director general of Nork-Marash Medical Center in Yerevan.
