Eduard Hakobyan, the chairman of the RA State Revenue Committee, hosted the representatives of the World Bank’s technical mission of consulting and analytical services implemented within the framework of the “Crossroads of Peace” initiative. This is reported by SRC.

Welcoming the participants of the meeting, Eduard Hakobyan emphasized the key role of the World Bank, highlighting the continuity and further expansion of the long-term cooperation formed with the organization. Reference was also made to a number of currently implemented programs, in particular, the digitalization of the customs system, the simplification and modernization of processes, as well as the programs related to the use of artificial intelligence tools in the customs body.

During the meeting, issues related to the start of the second phase of technical assistance provided by the World Bank within the framework of the “Crossroads of Peace” initiative were discussed, as well as the scope of assistance provided for the purpose of designing the TRIPP business model.

The parties have reached an agreement to clarify the scope of support to be provided by the World Bank, including in the field of digital connectivity, after separate targeted meetings.
