A sword was mislabeled in a museum on Lazarus Island in Venice. It was labeled as belonging to the medieval collection. It is approximately 5,000 years old. According to a new study, it is one of the oldest swords in the world. The extremely rare sword does not resemble most ancient weapons. It was made around 3000 BC and originates from eastern Turkey. It is speculated that this sword was used as a ceremonial object, but possibly also in combat. Another theory suggests that it was made for a burial and then unearthed by townspeople.
