Verelq: Adam Barron’s speech in Armenia on the occasion of the 1725th anniversary of the adoption of Christianity

Opera singer Adam Barro (Murad Amirkhanyan), for whom music is a way of life, has been living and creating in France for many years, but he does not miss any opportunity to perform concerts in his homeland, Armenia. Barro regularly collaborates with singers and musicians living in Armenia, brings them together around one idea and brings them to life through concerts, presents the works of both Armenian and foreign composers with a new breath.

This time, Barro will perform in his homeland with three concerts dedicated to the 1725th anniversary of the adoption of Christianity in Armenia.

The concert in Yerevan will be held on July 21 at the “Arno Babajanyan” concert hall, the concert planned for the singer’s birthplace, Gyumri, will be held on July 22 at the Seven Wounds Church, and the Kapan concert will be held on July 25 at the state art college of the city.

At the concerts, accompanied by the organ, Barro will perform favorite works of César Frank, Gabriel Faure, Charles Gounod, Giacomo Puccini, Komitas, Makar Ekmalyan, Ara Partevyan and other composers.

Barro notes that Italian and French schools are very important for artists, but he cannot distinguish Armenian song from the works of Western European composers. “No matter where I perform in the world, I must sing our Armenian verses and melodies. I must present Yekmalyan’s “Horzham”, Mkhitar Sebastasi’s “Ancharin Khoran”, Komitas’ “Patriotic Hymn” in order to encourage my people even more,” says Barro and adds that Armenian spiritual music and academic opera arias are very enthusiastic. accepted in Europe.

At Armenian concerts, the opera singer will perform with organist Garry Yeprikyan. They have known each other for ten years. finally the time has come to cooperate.

“There are no coincidences in my life. I come to our country with a concert program, I have another program in mind, then I think about the third one and so on. When I visited Armenia in June, I noticed that almost no one talks about the 1725 anniversary of the adoption of Christianity. I told myself that I don’t have the right not to sing on that occasion, I thought that maybe I should give a boost to the organization of other events as well,” emphasizes the artist and invites music lovers to become participants in the concerts full of different emotions and feelings, stressing that he is always sincere and honest with his fans.

For Adam Barro, music is his daily life, his life, his family, his homeland, and he lives in that harmony.

After the Armenian concerts, the singer will return to France, where more concerts are expected. Of particular importance is the concert to be held on August 29 in the St. Thomas Church in Exidoi, during which the Armenian song will be performed, and a fundraiser will be made for the opening of the church’s altar.
