As part of WSIS Forum 2026, one of the largest international events in the field of information and communication technologies held in Geneva, Switzerland, Mesrop Mesropyan, Chairman of the Public Services Regulatory Commission, participated in the round table with the participation of heads of regulatory bodies from different countries.

During the discussion, the directions of the development of the telecommunications sector, the priorities of the expansion of digital infrastructures, as well as the opportunities and challenges of introducing new technologies were touched upon. Special attention was paid to the impact of the use of artificial intelligence and the need to develop new approaches to regulation in accordance with the rapidly changing technological environment.
The participation of the PSCC in such international events once again emphasizes the involvement of Armenia in the processes of forming the digital agenda and developing international cooperation.
Within the framework of the forum, Mesrop Mesropyan also took part in the Leaders TalkX high-level panel discussion, presenting the reforms implemented in the field of electronic communication in Armenia, the recorded results and the upcoming directions of development.
WSIS Forum 2026 is one of the largest international events in the field of information and communication technologies, which is held by the International Telecommunication Union (ITU) under the auspices of the United Nations. The forum brings together representatives of government institutions, international organizations, academia and the private sector to discuss key issues related to digital development, innovation and the implementation of sustainable development goals.
