Early this morning, masked officers of the National Security Service raided Gagik Tsarukyan’s mansion and his business companies for searches. Iveta Tonoyan, spokesperson of the “Prosperous Armenia” party (PAP), informed that a search is being carried out at the house of Gagik Tsarukyan. Later, he wrote that large-scale searches are being carried out in almost all companies included in the “Multi Group” concern, as well as in the apartments of the directors of these organizations.

Political scientist Suren Surenyants told reporters that there is nothing legal, the country is in total authoritarianism.

“Everything is done according to the instructions of the self-proclaimed Yanokavans. The Constitutional Court fully legitimized bespredel. Obviously, something similar to a coup d’état took place in the country, because the NA mosaic was affected by illegal interventions,” he said, reminding that during the campaign, Nikol Pashinyan promised to punish specific people, to kill them, moreover, with such cases, he is trying to show the Russians that he will “solve everyone’s issues”, and the only person with whom they should agree in Armenia is himself.

Regarding the change of power and achieving it through street struggle, Surenyants noted.

“It brings us closer to it if the opposition organizes itself, because if the faith in the institution of elections is nullified, if all political figures appear in such an ugly target, public sentiments become more radical. In other words, the day is not far when these public sentiments will lead to the formation of a more radical opposition platform.”

Regarding whether the opposition will take the mandate or not, the political scientist said: if there is no quick revolutionary scenario, if they don’t take the mandate, what should they do?

“The mandate and the street should be combined, but the main stage should be the street. Without a street in the National Assembly, we will take people out into the corridor and beat them. In the near future, the opposition should be able to create a system of resistance and prepare for the streets in advance,” Surenyants stressed.
