Ukraine received another tranche of 3.8 billion euros from the European Union. Prime Minister of the country Yulia Sviridenko announced this in her Telegram channel.
“Another 3.8 billion euros have been transferred from the European Union to the special fund of the state budget,” he wrote.
According to him, the funds will be directed to “the financing of priority defense needs: the production of unmanned aerial vehicles, the strengthening of the capabilities of the defense-industrial complex and the provision of immediate supplies for the needs of the front”.
Sviridenko emphasized that this is “exactly the first tranche of defense support within the framework of the new financial instrument Ukraine Support Loan”. On June 25, 3.2 billion euros were entered into the budget for budget support within the framework of the same loan, Sviridenko reminded. Thus, the total volume of funds received by Kyiv within the framework of this program is 7 billion euros.
