Turkey’s special envoy for the Armenia normalization process, Serdar Kilic, on Thursday congratulated his Armenian counterpart Ruben Rubinyan following his nomination as speaker of Armenia’s National Assembly.
In a post on X, Kilic said they had cultivated “an efficient working culture and a sincere friendship” throughout their engagement.
“I congratulate Ruben Rubinyan, my counterpart in the Turkey-Armenia normalization process, on his election as Speaker of the Armenian Parliament. Over the past four years, we have established an efficient working culture and a sincere friendship. I wish him continued success in his new position,” he wrote.
The congratulatory message followed Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan’s announcement that Rubinyan had been nominated as parliament speaker by the ruling Civil Contract party.
