The Constitutional Court examines the petitions submitted by the opposition forces with the demand to cancel the election results.

And Narek Karapetyan, number one on the electoral list of the “Strong Armenia” bloc in front of the Constitutional Court, in a conversation with journalists, in response to the question of 168.am, said that a meeting with extra-parliamentary forces will take place, without specifying which forces they are.

“We are in general discussions with them. And the main issue is the fight against polling of votes, which has led to the fact that today the government, having minus 50 percent of votes – 49 percent, that is, not having a constitutional majority, is trying to find an opportunity to reproduce,” he noted.

At the same time, when asked whether you will be able to overcome the disasters you mentioned during the pre-election period, Narek Karapetyan answered that today the authorities cannot hold a referendum.

“But if the CC finds itself in the supremacy of the law, we will also have the opportunity to apply the 3/5 restriction against the government. And in this case, the possibilities of the government will be very limited,” emphasized the representative of “Strong Armenia”.

As for whether or not to take the mandates, Narek Karapetyan said that in the days following the elections, almost the majority of the team wanted not to take the mandates, but later they had several discussions.

“I can’t say for sure that we already have a defined final path. In the course of time and as a result of the decision of the CC and planning our next steps, we will make a statement,” he said.

When asked if they have a road map around which they can unite the opposition forces, Narek Karapetyan repeated the problem of polluting votes, which is why Nikol Pashinyan’s government remains in power or tries to do so.

“We have to fight against pollination of votes, that’s what we want to talk about with the opposition forces. Of course, we must accept the issues related to the inconsistency of our steps and those of our other colleagues. We need to understand together which steps helped to say goodbye to this government later,” he said, adding that those forces who are not sure that they will pass should not participate in the elections if they want the change of this government.

Is the parliament an effective way to remove Pashinyan, Narek Karapetyan responded: the coexistence of the street and the legislator is the only way.

As for Samvel Karapetyan leaving Armenia if possible, he assured. “Samvel Karapetyan has long plans in Armenia.”
