More than 100 cases of giving and receiving election bribes were revealed as a result of the investigative activities carried out within the framework of the criminal proceedings initiated in the main department of investigation of particularly important cases of the RA Investigative Committee.
In particular, it appears that factual data has been obtained that A.E., the deputy candidate of “Strong Armenia”, with a preliminary agreement with a group of people, paid election bribes in the amount of AMD 100,000-500,000 to more than 100 voters of Artashat community in the condition of voting for the “Strong Armenia” bloc in the regular RA NA elections to be held on June 7, 2026, and the mentioned voters in some cases. acting in a group with other voters, they received electoral bribes in the amount of different monetary amounts by prior agreement.
During the preliminary investigation of the criminal proceedings, according to the decision of the supervising prosecutor, a public criminal prosecution was initiated against the deputy candidate A.E. under Article 219, Part 2 (giving election bribes) and Article 296, Part 3, Clause 3 (especially large money laundering) of the Criminal Code.
Arrest was applied to him as a preventive measure.
The investigation is ongoing.
