The meeting of the Police Reforms Coordinating Council was held in the Government under the leadership of Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan.

Minister of Internal Affairs Arpine Sargsyan presented the progress and results of the measures to be implemented in 2025, as well as the measures and reforms implemented in 2026.
Details were presented on the priorities of the strategic plan, the achievements of the management model with the formation of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, including the formation of a single educational complex of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the operational control center of the Ministry of Internal Affairs 112, the 4 pillars of the Police, the crime statistics and research center of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the refinement and transfer of public services to the domain of the Ministry of Internal Affairs. Details were also presented within the framework of the reforms in the direction of human resource management, strengthening of morals, modernization of the operational management center, launching of the police guard, development of patrol service, criminal police. regarding the performed works. The Minister of Internal Affairs noted that basic education has been established as a mandatory entry requirement for employment in the services. Work was also carried out to improve the certification system and introduce a new performance evaluation system. According to Arpine Sargsyan, the number of crimes decreased by 3.2% compared to last year.
Within the framework of the agenda, proposals were also presented regarding increasing the efficiency of investigative functions.
Next, a discussion was held, during which the members of the council presented their observations and positions regarding the work done. Various recommendations have been presented aimed at increasing the efficiency of community police work.
Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan highlighted the work aimed at further increasing the effectiveness of reforms, introducing new approaches and more effectively implementing the goals set by the strategic plan. The head of the government instructed, taking into account the discussions held within the council session, to raise the raised issues, to carry out in-depth analyzes and to present recommendations at the next session.
