On June 17, RA Deputy Foreign Minister Robert Abisoghomoyan had a meeting with Monica Juma, Director General of the United Nations Office, Executive Director of the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime in Vienna. This is reported by the RA MFA.
The interlocutors highly appreciated the cooperation between Armenia and the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime. The willingness to further expand cooperation in the fields of addressing transnational crimes, improving the criminal justice system and combating cybercrimes was emphasized.
The Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Armenia emphasized the importance of the expert support and continuous implementation of programs by the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime, aimed at the development of institutional capacities of Armenia.
Thoughts were also exchanged within the framework of the 17th Conference of the Parties to the UN Convention on Biological Diversity to be held in Armenia and the prospects for implementing joint initiatives ahead of it.
