The anomalous torrential rain and hail that fell in Gyumri last night created an emergency situation in the city. As a result of intense rainfall, a part of the streets appeared under water and ice, causing serious problems for the movement of residents and transport.

The most difficult situation has been created under the bridge leading from Teryan street to Akhuryan. traffic in that direction was completely paralyzed due to the accumulated huge ice sheet and water.

According to Andranik Chadryan, acting head of the municipality’s housing and communal services department, the amount of precipitation was unprecedented for the city.
