“Hraparak” newspaper writes:
“Perhaps the most tragic fact after the elections held on Sunday is the failure of PAP to enter the parliament, which lacked only about 60 votes.
By the way, in the 2021 elections, the PAP lacked about 1,800 votes to overcome the threshold. However, this time the fact of PAP passing or not is of more central importance for CP. The point is that the KP, which received 49 percent of the votes, will be able to get a simple majority if the PAP does not pass, and the votes given to it fall into dust and go to the KP. This is the secret of the controversial results published regarding the PAP.
We learned from our sources that in fact the force led by Gagik Tsarukyan has overcome the temporary threshold, but the government has offered him a deal that he will enter the parliament if he agrees to become Pashinyan’s pocket opposition and if necessary secure a 3/5 majority for him, for example, during the election of the heads and members of the most important constitutional bodies. In the case of the transition of the CP to the PAP, it is deprived of that opportunity: it lacks 2 votes. However, Tsarukyan rejected the offer, after which the CEC announced that the PAP does not pass the temporary threshold.
