Hours after the end of the national elections of the National Assembly of 2026, the Central Electoral Commission continues the process of summarizing the results, but, unlike the previous elections, this time almost no live connections or operational clarifications are presented to the public. The live broadcast on the CEC website went down shortly after and the public was unable to watch the summary of the results live. CEC is limited to publishing infographics on the official website.

168.am tried to get acquainted with the situation on the spot, but as of 02:00, the RA Central Electoral Commission informed us that most of the employees have already finished their work and left, and only the computer operators performing data entry continue to work in the building.

To remind, according to official data, the total number of voters was 2 million 503 thousand 976. As of 20:00, 1 million 476 thousand 597 citizens, or 58.97 percent of voters, had participated in the voting.

Meanwhile, the process of summarizing the results continues at a slow pace.

As of 02:40, the CEC had summarized the data of only 512 polling stations, which is a relatively small part of the total stations. Moreover, at that moment, the results of a number of polling stations in Yerevan were still missing.

However, against this background, Nikol Pashinyan’s press conference was already being held at the “Civil Agreement” party headquarters. He announced that CP won the elections and is going to form a one-man government. and this despite the fact that the Central Electoral Commission had already summed up 10 percent of the votes. “We make our own calculations,” he said.

In fact, while most of the official results of the elections were still unknown, the government was already recording its victory, relying on its own estimates and internal calculations. Naturally, this raises questions not only about the procedures for publishing the results, but also about the chronology of political announcements.

However, the full publication of the official data of the CEC and the final picture are yet to come.
