LOS ANGELES – The Armenian National Committee of America, Western Region on Monday announced its endorsements for the June 2026 primary elections in California and Nevada.
The 45-candidate slate covers federal, state, county, and local offices across California and Nevada. The California primary is Tuesday, June 2. Nevada follows on Tuesday, June 9. Mail ballots in both states are already in circulation. Visit the ANCA-WR’s election hub for more information.
“The slate of candidates that we are endorsing for the primary elections in both California and Nevada has demonstrated a clear and consistent record of standing with the Armenian-American community on issues of paramount importance,” said Oshin Harootoonian, Chair of the ANCA-WR.
“From combating Armenian Genocide denial and supporting the expansion of genocide education, to advocating for the right of a safe and dignified return for Armenian refugees from Artsakh, the unconditional release of Armenian POWs illegally held in Baku, and the preservation of Armenian cultural and religious heritage sites in Artsakh, these candidates have shown through their actions and leadership that they are committed partners in the pursuit of justice, accountability, and human rights,” he continued.

The ANCA-WR also endorsed Judge Tano Tijerina (TX-28) following his primary victory in March. Judge Tijerina will face Congressional Azerbaijan Caucus Co-Chair Henry Cuellar in the General Election on November 3rd, 2026.

The California statewide primary is Tuesday, June 2, 2026. For California voters: Your vote-by-mail ballot must be postmarked by Election Day or returned in person to any polling place or ballot drop box before polls close on Election Day. The Nevada statewide primary is Tuesday, June 9, 2026. For Nevada voters: Mail ballots must be postmarked by Election Day and received within 4 days after the election. If there’s no postmark, the ballot must arrive within 3 days after Election Day. You can also hand-deliver your ballot by 7 p.m. on Election Day.
