Environmental Protection and Subsoil Inspection Body, on the basis of the alarm received regarding the decrease in the water flow of Shaki waterfall, the inspectors carried out an inspection at the Shaki HPP of the Hakobjanyan and Galstyan HPP LLC operating in the village of Shaki, Syunik marz.

It is reported from the BTU that as a result of the inspection, the employees of the Inspection Body recorded that the Company carried out its activities at the HPP in violation of the requirements of the water use permit.

Exceeding the specified water consumption rates, the company took 13,538,687 cubic meters of water from the Shaki River, violating the monthly water intake volumes, water use period and mode.

The calculation of the assessment of the impact caused by the economic activity on the water resource was made in the amount of AMD 27,077,374.

The director of the company will be subject to administrative responsibility.
