Adam Barro and friends will perform at the “Anurjner” concert

French-born opera singer Adam Barro (Murad Amirkhanyan) returns to Armenia again with a special concert evening. On April 6, the “Anurjner” concert dedicated to Arno Babajanyan’s 105th birthday will take place at the Chamber Music House named after Komitas.

According to Barro, he tries to mark his visit from Paris to Armenia with a memorable concert.
“This year I decided to organize two important events, one in Armenia and the other in Paris. A beautiful program is expected, I wanted the “Anurjner” concert to be presented in an academic version and not too pop, naturally emphasizing on quality and high-class artists. Being a singer is a responsibility and a gift from the universe, as an artist I always want to be useful to others because it is important to reach out to other performers. Nowadays, unfortunately, it is common to think only about oneself, but the artist must be unifying, try to do more for the motherland with his voice, and also try to present the Armenian song as correctly as possible both in Armenia and abroad. It is a multi-faceted activity, today’s artist is given a great opportunity, using which he should do everything to present our nation with its cultural weapon on various platforms as it deserves,” Barro notes.

Galina Tsolakyan, Aramo Mamikonian, Suzanna Baren, Marianna Hayrapetyan, Skena Choir, Victoria and Lyana Ulikhanyan will perform during the “Anurjner” concert evening.

“I always like to connect people and realities. Last year, in cooperation with Avetik Isahakyan Kenton Library of Yerevan Municipality, on November 12, the “Republican Competition of Young Performers named after Avetik Isahakyan” was held, the purpose of which was to discover and encourage gifted young people in the field of vocal music. The winner of that competition was Galina Tsolakyan, who will now perform at the concert on April 6,” says Barro.

On October 3, the singer initiated an evening dedicated to the 100th anniversary of John Ter-Tadevosyan at the Cortot concert hall in Paris, where today’s renowned artists will perform.

Next, Adam Barro will perform in Barcelona’s Sagrada Familia church on April 24, presenting the Armenian song as it deserves. This is an exclusive historical concert on the occasion of the 111th anniversary of the Armenian Genocide, during which the works of Komitas, Makar Yekmalyan, Mariam Pozapalyan and Ara Partevyan will be performed in honor of the innocent Armenian victims.

Among the similar concerts initiated by Adam Barro were the gala evening entitled “Ave Maria” dedicated to the 100th birthday and immortal memory of the famous singer Gohar Gasparyan, as well as the “Adam Barro and Friends” dedicated to the 120th birthday of the famous composer Aram Khachatryan. the charity concert and the concert dedicated to Avetik Isahakyan’s 150th birthday.
