GLENDALE, CA — Dr. Edit Khachatryan, candidate for the Glendale Community College Board of Trustees, Area 2, announced the endorsement of State Senator Sasha Renée Pérez (District 25).

The endorsement from Senator Pérez adds to the growing coalition of community leaders, educators, and labor advocates supporting Dr. Khachatryan’s campaign, positioning her as the frontrunner in the race.

Dr. Edit Khachatryan is an educator, researcher, and community advocate running for the Glendale Community College Board of Trustees, Area 2. She believes effective leadership means listening closely, using data and lived experience to guide decisions, and staying deeply connected to the community, ensuring the college delivers for students, families, and Glendale. She entered the race with endorsements from four current members of the Glendale Community College Board of Trustees: Dr. Sevan Benlian, Dr. Armine Hacopian, Yvette Vartanian Davis, and Ann Ransford. She has since received the endorsement of the Glendale College Guild, Glendale Teachers Association, Glendale Firefighters Association Local 776, and the East Area Progressive Democrats.
