Armenian President Vahagn Khachaturyan, currently in Chile for the inauguration of President-elect José Antonio Kast, participated, along with other world leaders, in an official reception hosted by outgoing President Gabriel Boric.
During the ceremony, the Armenian President held meetings with President Boric, King Felipe VI of Spain, Uruguayan President Yamandú Orsi, and other leaders.
Khachaturyan’s office said in a readout that, during the conversations with fellow world leaders, the Armenian President touched upon regional and global developments and invited his counterparts to visit Armenia to participate in COP17—the 17th meeting of the Conference of the Parties (COP) to the Convention on Biological Diversity (CBD), to be held in Yerevan this year.
“The President of the Republic specifically emphasized the importance of uniting the efforts of the international community in addressing global challenges,” the president’s office said.
The Armenian President also met with José Antonio Kast, the President-elect of Chile.
