Armenia on Sunday won two more medals in combined total at the 2021 European Weightlifting Championships that have wrapped up in Moscow.
Gor Minasyan won a silver medal by lifting a combined weight of 464 kg (216 kg + 248 kg) in the Men’s +109kg weight category, while Varazdat Lalayan won the European bronze medal by lifting a total of 445 kg (205 kg + 240 kg).
Lasha Talakhadze (Georgia) became the European champion in this weight category by lifting a combined weight of 485 kg (222 kg + 263 kg). Thus, Talakhadze set a world record in combined total.
The European Weightlifting Championships are a qualifier for the Tokyo Olympics.
