Turkologist: National values’ protection must become inseparable article for Armenia’s state security

The protection of national values needs to become an inseparable article for state security, and it needs to be enshrined in legislation. This is what member of the Protection of National Values Initiative, Dean of the Faculty of Oriental Studies at Yerevan State University Ruben Melkonyan told reporters today.

Melkonyan explained this by saying that Turkey and Azerbaijan are leading an invisible war against Armenian national values, including education, faith and traditions. In his turn, military expert Hayk Nahapetyan noted that an information war is being waged against Armenia. “What was considered a stereotype in the past is now becoming a norm. In addition, attempts are being made to enshrine this by law. The conventions that the authorities are trying to apply in Armenia are targeted against our national values,” he stated.
