On August 21 of this year, at 2:20 p.m. local time (10:20 a.m. GMT), an earthquake was registered by the seismological network of the Seismic Protection Territorial Service of the RA Ministry of Emergency Situations at 41.070 north latitude and 43.960 east longitude (Armenia: 9 km northeast of Ashotsk village), at a depth of 10. 2.8 magnitude earthquake. the strength of the underground shock in the epicentral zone was 3-4 points.


According to the press service of the Ministry of Emergency Situations, the lifeboat was followed by an aftershock with a magnitude of 2.2. The earthquake was felt in Bavra village of Shirak marz with a magnitude of 3.
