Armenia’s Simon Martirosyan snatched a gold medal in the European Weightlifting Championships under way in Batumi, Georgia.
Performing in the 109 kg category, the holding World Champions won with a combined result og 427 kg.
The Armenian athlete lifted 192 kg in the snatch and 235 kg in the clean & jerk.
