The twelfth congress of the “Heritage” party
March 31, 2019, Yerevan. The regular 12th congress of the “Heritage” party took place today in the Yerevan State Chamber Theater building. 112 delegates participated, and with their votes, the agenda of the congress, the secretariat and the counting committee were approved.
After viewing the video message of greeting and best wishes addressed to the participants of the convention by the President of the European People’s Party (EPP), Joseph Dole, a video about the party’s activities was shown, which was a unique report of the last period of “Heritage”.
The landmark speech of the assembly was the speech of the founder of the party, the chairman of the council, Raffi Hovhannisyan, where the changes caused by the new realities of Armenia, the opportunities for political, civil, intra-party and organizational activities provided by them, as well as the dangers and challenges that are still facing our young state were emphasized.
Vice President Susanna Muradyan gave a report on the work done by the department during the inter-congress period. Then the assembly heard and approved the reports of the presidents of the statutory and audit commissions, which were taken into account.
Important issues related to the achievements and perfection of “Heritage”, the necessity of revitalizing the resolution of New Armenia in 2012, the adoption of new principles and tactics of work in modern internal Armenian conditions were discussed.
Hovsep Khurshudyan and Andranik Grigoryan presented to the assembly court the drafts of programmatic and statutory changes, which, according to the speakers, are due to the socio-political and legal changes that took place in the domestic and foreign political agendas (EPP membership, transition to the parliamentary form of government, etc.). The party’s congress approved the package of programmatic and statutory amendments presented.
Within the framework of the assembly, the elections of the nominated candidates of the new department, as well as the members of the statutory and audit commissions took place.
The Resolution of the 12th congress of the “Heritage” party was unanimously adopted, according to which a democratic revolution has taken place in RA in form, content and procedure, but the necessary legal and political package leading to real democracy has not yet been fixed. The possible dangers of the materialization of the super-partisan government coming from the past were emphasized, and it was also decided to purposefully continue the work for the civilized establishment of a truly free, independent and just Armenia.
Economists Gagik Margaryan, Rshtun Martirosyan, Tatevik Gamaghelyan, Stepan Vardanyan and Nubar Hakobyan, pedagogues Andranik Grigoryan, Marianna Oskanyan, Hayk Gasparyan, Mary Matevosyan and Areg Mkrtchyan, philologist-linguist Narine Dilbaryan, architect Ashot Sazhumyan, pediatrician Hasmik Avetisyan, journalist were elected to the new board. Vanik Aleksanyan and engineer Armenak Stepanyan.
Professor Rafik Hakobyan, philologist Narine Dilbaryan and representative of the youth wing of the party Armenak Stepanyan gave summative speeches. The speakers referred to the main things to be done and all the possible systems of preservation, development and improvement of the unique type of “Heritage”.
Later, the inaugural session of the newly elected board took place, where Andranik Grigoryan was elected as the chairman of the “Heritage” party board, Narine Dilbaryan as vice chairman, and Vanik Aleksanyan as secretary.
