ArmInfo. Today, the staff of the North-South program has blocked Yerevan-Talin road with their cars, demanding their salaries.

They, in particular, noted that the company Corsan Corviam  Construccion SA, implementing this project, had not paid them wages  since August of this year.

To note, as part of the construction of the 556-kilometer road, the  length of which will be reduced to 490 kilometers as a result of the  construction (the reduction will occur at the expense of tunnels and  bridges being built on the Sisian-Kajaran section), only a  160-kilometer section is funded. The program is funded by three  international credit organizations – the Asian Development Bank, the  European Investment Bank and the Eurasian Bank of Stabilization and  Development. The total amount of loan agreements is 540 million US  dollars.

During the implementation of the project, large-scale abuses reaching  tens of millions of dollars were revealed, as a result of which  construction work was suspended. A criminal case was initiated on the  facts of theft and abuse.
