Pashinyan’s Spokesman responds to Lukashenko’s statements

Yerevan/Mediamax/. Spokesman of acting Prime Minister of Armenia Arman Yeghoyan commented on Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko’s statement, according to which Nikol Pashinyan doesn’t discuss with the Russian side the issue of selling weapons to Azerbaijan.

“Touching upon Mr. Lukashenko’s statement, it is necessary to outline certain points. Unfortunately, Mr. Lukashenko continues his practice of disclosing the content of conversations at closed meetings.

Unfortunately, Mr. Lukashenko also shared the information about what he said at yet another closed meeting without noting the response he received from Armenia’s acting PM.

Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan has always raised the problematic issue of sale of Russian weapons to Azerbaijan at meetings with Russian President, including the meeting Mr. Lukashenko mentioned.

Armenia is aimed at continuing discussions within the frames of CSTO to provide the fulfillment of mutual allied obligations between the member states,” Arman Yeghoyan told Armenpress.

“I should like to see any power of the world destroy this race, this small tribe of unimportant people, whose wars have all been fought and lost, whose structures have crumbled, literature is unread, music is unheard, and prayers are no more answered. Go ahead, destroy Armenia . See if you can do it. Send them into the desert without bread or water. Burn their homes and churches. Then see if they will not laugh, sing and pray again. For when two of them meet anywhere in the world, see if they will not create a New Armenia.” - WS
