While speaking at the “My Step” alliance campaign in the Avan administrative district, RA Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan recalled the first day of the 2017 Yerevan Council of Elders election campaign, when he was nominated as a mayoral candidate and started the campaign from this district.

“A strange and symbolic thing happened in this district, we were passing between the stalls, and I don’t know what people heard or learned that day, they kept offering bread. Perhaps one of the most important moments of my political activity, because after swallowing every piece of bread, I felt that I was making a covenant with our people through that bread. I stand here now and am happy to say that the condition of that covenant has been kept, that bread has not been made haram, and you have won, my people. That covenant did not end with this, it enters a new phase and will exist forever, because in RA there will be a government that loves the people and bows down to the people, and this has no alternative. that covenant is being renewed today and gaining new momentum,” he said according to Slaq.am.

Nikol Pashinyan noticed that there were children at the rally and noted that no one can question the future of these children. “All those who will try to encroach on the future of these children, we will not only lay them on the asphalt, but also wall them,” he said. The Prime Minister said that we signed a covenant with every citizen of the Republic of Armenia with bread, tears, smiles and solidarity throughout the territory of the Republic of Armenia, in every corner of the country. “The sanctity of your bread is preserved and will be preserved as long as my heart beats,” he said.
